More Beautiful Swaps

June 29, 2008

Here is a gorgeous green card that was kindly sent to me by Marjolijn Stribosch from the Netherlands. (http://alovelystampstory.blogspot.com)  I loved the way she used the designer paper for the shirt. Yes it was a lovely surprise.

Next, a card from Washington, USA by Anita Griffin. It was just very appropriate because I love to read books. Iif only I could find another couple of hours in the day for reading. Today I snuck in an hour of reading while waiting for my tyres to be fitted and a wheel alignment done Thank you so much Anita, the card is beautiful! http://www.stampinwithanita.com

Swap RAKS

June 26, 2008

WOW! I haven’t ever had so much fun opening my mail. This last week I have been showered with beautiful cards from all over the world from the lovely people in the swap. They are just gorgeous and over the next few weeks I’ll gradually share them with you all. I wasn’t expecting to get any seeing as my birthday was so close to the beginning of the swap, but these ladies are just wonderful. Thankyou so much.

The first one I received was from a lovely lady in Scotland.

Unfortunately I couldn’t decipher the name on the card (must be because i am now officially over the hill LOL) and would hate to get it wrong, so if you sent this card could you please email me and let me know (stampinally@gmail.com).

The next one was just gorgeous and came from Alina in Holland. It reminds me of Holly Hobby which I just loved when I was about 7. It was a very summery card too. She made my day by including some images for me to colour and can’t wait to use them. I just love her card. Thankyou Alina.

Thanks to all those who helped me celebrate this month by taking me up on my special offers.

In the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some lovely birthday cards that I have received from some lovely ladies around the world. They are just so talented and a great inspiration.

Thankyou to my stamping friends who share this passion of stamping and papercrafts. I hope that we continue to share our passion right through the fabulous forties and beyond!!

Swapsies

June 15, 2008

I have recently joined in a swap with some lovely ladies from around the world. The first swap we did had the theme of ‘Summer and Flowers’. Well that didn’t really suit us because as I was making them on the first day of June, the sky was a dreary grey and it was drizzling as we began our winter here in the Illawarra. However it did cheer me up using all these bright colours. Here is my card that I sent to my swap buddies in Holland.

I hope they both liked it.

Biggest Swap Ever

June 2, 2008

I have just joined a swap and I am really excited. There are ladies from lots of other countries in this swap. Every week there is a different thing to do and it usually only involves making one or two cards. I’m hoping that I will be able to post some of those cards here soon. I haven’t waited on the mail like this since I was a child.
