Beautiful Butterflies

Don’t you just hate it when the things that you photograph just don’t look as good in the photo as they do in real life. Of course it doesn’t help when you try to take the photo at night. But I just love this card so much that I can’t wait to upload it.

This card was made in one of my technique classes the other day and we did the Acetate Tissue Technique. It was pretty messy, but that’s what made it so much fun! We definitely had inky and gluey fingers by the end.

Australia Flood Appeal

As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected.

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others–especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We’ve done it before and we can certainly do it again!

Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal–a cause in which Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.

Friends 24-7 candle

Just lately I’ve discovered the joy of burning candles. They have such a lovely glow when they burn. So I decided that I would try decorating my own.

I love the Friends 24-7 flourish stamp because it is just so elegant and I teamed it with elegant eggplant ink for a truly beautiful candle. There are three images altogether around the candle so it looks good from any direction. Then it was finished off with a little bling in the form of rhinestones. I am going to give this to one of my friends so shhh, don’t tell her.

I think this candle would look lovely on a wedding table or on a Christmas table or on just any table really.

I was recently asked to create an engagement card for a friend who’s son was ‘finally’ getting engaged. . I had been itching to use the new Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die from the new catalogue and so I teamed it up with Baroque Motifs because the swirl is just so elegant.

I liked it so much, I made one for my neighbours daughter for their first wedding anniversary too.

One Last Chance
