Time Well Spent

I have been playing with the new and exclusive Time Well Spent hostess stamp set and with Bold Brights, which is novel for me as I’m a bit of a Rich Regals and Soft Subtles fan.

The background is certainly celery and I’ve put a strip of confetti white across the bottom. The tulips were stamped in classic black ink and coloured in with pixie pink and brilliant blue pastels using a blender pen. A strip of certainly celery wide gros-grain ribbon was stuck across the bottom. The photos have been matted onto pixie pink and overlap each other. The butterflies were stamped onto white card and then coloured in pixie pink and brilliant blue. They were cut out and layered onto each other with the wings bent up to make them look like they were flying. Then wire was used to make antennae, curled and stuck on with glue dots. The toolkit pliers are just so handy for this.

Here is a close up of the butterfly

It was such fun to make and so bright and cheerful. The colours really picked out the colours from the top in the photos. I think that it was time well spent!
